There are many things I love about food. Beyond the nourishing element that comes with the digestion of calories into energy, it is also the story behind the food and because of the food that fascinates me. So much love, care, planning, and idealism comes in proper preparation of food – selecting choice ingredients, timing the cooking, improvising, making mistakes and learning. The act of eating and the traditions behind it has also been a staple function in the cohesion of societies for thousands of years. My acknowledgement of such meals is merely a tribute to the long-standing culture of the most performed art form in the world.
